THE ITALIAN JOB 2 (NOW THE BRAZILIAN
JOB) MOVIE UPDATE:
Mark Wahlberg tells MTV that
Paramount is targeting a summer start for The Brazilian Job,
the anticipated follow-up to 2003's The Italian Job, which earned
$175.8 million worldwide. F. Gary Gray is expected to direct
again and David Twohy is writing the script.
"A lot of people really
liked ['The Italian Job'], and a lot of movie sequels don't live
up to the original, so we want to make it as good, or better;
and we're all patient," Wahlberg said. "Charlize [Theron]
and everybody is in, so we're just waiting for the right script.
Hopefully, I think, probably around summertime we're gonna film
it."
Earlier this year it was reported
that the sequel would be filmed in Rio de Janeiro. The first
film's team also included Jason Statham, Seth Green and Mos Def.

I'm sure Seth will be as funny
as always. Not much of the plot has been revealed except for
"Charlie Croker and his crew return for another heist in
this follow up The Italian Job." Stay tuned

For a while it was the number one comedy in the America and in
the Top 10 for 5 weeks. The box office earnings ending on September
30th. 2005 was $45,518,563. Speaking of WITHOUT A PADDLE, here

STRAIGHT FROM
THE HORSE'S MOUTH
A self-proclaimed
"city mouse," star Seth Green suggested that the most
disturbing part of Hell-Ay living was "the isolation."
Seth elaborated: "People tend to lock themselves in their
cars with the
AC, the radio, their cell phones on, windows rolled up and paying
no attention to each other." Of East Coast mode, Mr. G.
noted: "The most dangerous thing [about New York] is you'll
run into everybody you know and have to talk to each and every
one of them."

SETH GREEN
PLAYING WITH DOLLS
Untitled stop-motion
show will air on Cartoon Network. Forget the paddle, right now
Seth Green is without a title. The actor, whose "Without
a Paddle" opened Friday, is launching an animated
series in the winter. Just don't ask what it's called.Clearing
a name has not been easy.
"It's
a really complicated process where the lawyers tell you, 'You
can't call it that,' " Green said
recently.
"'We want theshow to be called 'Buggy-boo.' 'No, sorry.'
'Bugaloo?''Uh-uh. No.' Boogadie-boogadie-boo?' 'No, none of those
are good. Some guy in Arkansas has a Web site that's all devoted
to porn called Boogadie-boogadie-boo.' It's like, 'Huh?'"Green's
cartoon is a far cry from porn, but it will air on Adult Swim,
the Cartoon Network's nighttime adult programming. "It'll
follow
'Aqua Teen Hunger Force' and'Family Guy,' which is awesome,"
said Green, who voices the "Family Guy" character Chris
Griffin. Production on the still-untitled show will officially
commence in October with the show slated to debut in December.
Green will produce and could end up voicing. "My friend
and I loved the idea of a stop-motion parody ... like 'The Night
Before Christmas,' but spoofing," Green said. "Like
a 'Saturday Night Live' variety show, but with toys and dolls
and stuff like that. It's hard to explain, but it just looks
really funny."
Right now
the show is taking up most of Green's time, though he's also
reading scripts, looking for his next movie. "I'm really
cautious about picking scripts," he said. "I like to
know that when I come out with something, I can say, 'This is
good. You should see it.' " Green is saying that about "Without
a Paddle," which healso claims was one of the most fun movies
he's ever made. "I got to work with two guys who are just
incredibly professional and experienced and really funny, and
good actors, and we just got to play a lot," Green said
of Matthew Lillard and Dax Shepard. "It was really exciting."

"WITHOUT
A PADDLE" Movie - Mtv.com Interview
In "Without
a Paddle," Seth Green plays one of three big-city friends
(Dax Shepard and Matthew Lillard are the other two) who venture
into the woods of Washington state in search of the lost treasure
of D.B. Cooper, who hijacked an airplane in 1971 and disappeared
with a $200,000 ransom by parachuting from the jetliner. Of course,
their quest turns out to be harder than expected, and along the
way they encounter a hungry grizzly as well as a grizzly mountain
man (Burt Reynolds). MTV News' Kelly Marino sat down by the campfire
with Green to ask burning questions about bears, gangsta rap
and the star of "Smokey and the Bandit."
MTV: First
of all, let's talk about the bear scene. That wasn't really you
in the bear's mouth, right?
Seth
Green: No, that's not at all intelligent to do. Cause it's a
bear, and at the end of the day the bear is sated with chocolate,
whipped cream and powdered doughnuts, but chances are, you
put a human being into it's mouth and it's going to be like,"This
tastes a whole lot more natural to me." So, I stayed away
from that.
MTV: So even
during the parts where your character wasn't in its mouth, you
were worried about working with the bear?
Green: I really
put a lot of faith in the people around me and the fact that
they are doing their job, and I try to do my job as best as possible.
MTV: Did the
director allowed you guys to do much improv?
Green: There
was a lot of improvising in the movie, and it's a testament to
[director Steven] Brill as a director that he was able to keep
that governed and put it together so cohesively. You have three
guys who are all trained and skilled in improv both comedic and
dramatic. And they have the most supple firm asses you will ever
get to put your hands on, and believe me I put my hands on it
every
chance I could.
MTV: So none
of that was challenging to you?
Green: The
greatest challenge was keeping my hands off those gorgeous men's
asses. [He laughs.]
MTV: About
the music, did you have any part in picking the song for the
scene where you guys sing along to "Nothin' But a 'G' Thang"?
Green: No,
no, the one thing that actually happened, we didn't know which
songs we were actually going to get clearance for, we were supposed
to be doing sing-alongs to our mixtape in the car, and
we'd done all these .38 Special and the Clash and all that, and
we're on this rig driving back in the car, and I just came out
with the "One, two, three and to the four ..." 'cause
on my background
is all this hip-hop, so we just started rapping all this Dre
song and Brill was like, "We're filming it" and we
were trying to get Suge Knight on the phone trying to get clearance.
Well, the simple fact of
the matter is that I'm waiting for someone like Dre to see the
movie and complain that they cut the verses together 'cause I
know all the words to all of Dre's song, and the fact that it
was edited makes
me look like an idiot, and I don't appreciate it at all. If [Interscope
Records CEO] Jimmy Iovine comes after me I'm blaming Steve Brill.
MTV:
What was it like working with a veteran like Burt Reynolds?
Green: Yeah,
not only a veteran but a legitimate icon. He's one of the most
famous movie stars that I can put my finger on, and I put more
than one finger on his gorgeous ass. He was great. It was such
a thrill to get to hang out with him. And he told us amazing
stories, but more than that he was really, really friendly, and
collaborative, and humble. And, um, so reflective and honest
about what he'd
been through. It was great, and I truly loved it.
MTV: Had you
ever seen his movie "Deliverance," which has some parallels
to "Without a Paddle"?
Green: I had
seen "Deliverance," but I hadn't seen his other work,
so this was a crash course.
MTV: And finally,
what's your take on D.B. Cooper? Do you thinkhis money's really
out there somewhere, or is that just a legend?
Green: Well,
D.B. Cooper actually hijacked a plane and it was ransoms money
that he collected, then he jumped out of a plane and no one ever
found him, although there was some money that washed up at some
point.
MTV: You think
he could have survived the jump?
Green: It's
possible. Anything is possible. Elvis is still alive. He doesn't
look so good. A little decomposed and still hanging onto his
cape.
Last
February I was told that WITHOUT A PADDLE would not be released
until December 31st. I was checking my Seth Green stock on the
Hollywood
Stock Exchange
and imagine my surprise - the movie is coming to a big screen
near me on August 18th! I checked out
the "official" website. It's really great!

After
months of hearing rumor after rumor about whether or not Seth
was going to be part of the returning FAMILY GUY gang, I decided
to contact Alex Borstein, who does the voice of Lois Griffin.
I've been a big fan of hers for a long time. Here's the email
I wrote and her response.
Ever wonder how Seth came
up with his voice for Chris Griffin on "Family Guy?"
Seth said he based the voice of Chris Griffin on that of the
Buffalo Bill serial killer character in The Silence of the Lambs.
Green said he and a friend used to kid around using a variation
of the voice and he decided to use it when he was called in for
the Family Guy audition. "The voice just became more foolish
and outrageous," he said, noting there's "not much"
of the loutish Chris in him. "I'm sure there's something
deep down but the character's so silly. I let him be as silly
and foolish as they allow." Read the entire story here.

Did you catch Seth on
Sesame Street? It was a nice entertaining segment. He was great
as Vinnie, the "Letter of the Day "delivery man. It
brought back memories of watching the show years ago when my
niece and nephew were toddlers (18 years ago). It nice to see
that the show hasn't changed too much.
Seth said
that his ultimate dream has been realized after being signed
to be on Sesame Street. Green hopes his enthusiasm for the job
and his unshaven appearance doesn't frighten kids watching the
show. He says, "I hope I don't come off too crazy. I flew
to New York to do Sesame Street directly from a three-month film
shoot in New Zealand. I hadn't slept. I didn't shave. I looked
insane." He also had a second appearance on May11th, the
35th anniversary of the show. He was only on for a brief second.
If you blinked you missed him.
Have you heard of Googlism?
Googlism.com will find out what Google.com thinks of you, your
friends or anything! So naturally I typed in Seth's name. You
won't believe the silly things that pop up!
NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter/Andrew
Wallenstein) - Actor Seth Green, who voiced one of the characters
on the edgy Fox cartoon "Family Guy," is developing
an animated series for the Cartoon Network.
The cable
channel has ordered 20 episodes of the untitled project, a stop-motion
cartoon that depicts iconic toys acting out satirical vignettes.
For instance, superhero action figures could be shown struggling
to co-exist in a scenario lampooning MTV's "The Real World."
"It's like 'Saturday Night Live' with toys instead of actors,"
Green said. Green, whose movie and TV credits range from "Party
Monster" to "Greg the Bunny," created and produced
the series with Matthew Senreich, editorial director of magazine
publisher Wizard Entertainment.
The series
is scheduled to join Cartoon's late-night animation block Adult
Swim in October. Cartoon parent company Turner Broadcasting plans
to unveil the series for advertisers on Thursday.
Green and Senreich will write the series with Doug Goldstein
and Tom Roots. "We've been working together for a long time
and like to play with toys," Senreich said. "We'll
bring toys to life in a crazy, warped way."
The pair most
recently collaborated on the Internet-based entertainment series
"Sweet J Presents," on Sony's Screenblast.com. Cartoon
airs the reruns of "Family Guy," which has been a huge
seller on home video. This is wonderful news! I spend Every Sunday
night watching "Adult Swim." Seth's show will be a
fun addition.
Scooby Doo 2: Monsters
Unleashed" grossed $30.7 million in its opening weekend.
The movie has grossed a hefty $177,277,698 worldwide as of July
2004.
Here are some
pictures of the UK premiere.
Seth talks
about the movie with Shawn Adler for Cinema Confidential.
SCOOBY REUNITES
BUFFY MATES
Seth Green,
who co-stars in the upcoming Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed,
told SCI FI Wire that he reunites with his one-time Buffy the
Vampire Slayer castmate Sarah Michelle Gellar in the sequel,
and that she seemed noticeably happier. "I'll say this about
Sarah," Green said in an interview. "In the last few
years, and not so much since the show ended, but just, I think,
her getting married and, I think, her gaining a real sense of
comfort with who she is as a person, she is
much happier."
In Scooby-Doo
2, Green plays Patrick Wisely, a museum curator who catches the
eye of Mystery Inc. member Velma (Linda Cardellini). Green shared
the screen with Gellar in TV's Buffy for two seasons, from 1997-1999,
playing the musician and werewolf Oz. Now, Green said of Gellar,
"You can see her just really seeming to radiate a sense
of comfort in her own skin. And that's great. I've known her
since we were, like, nine years old, and I have the utmost respect
and admiration for her. I think she's a real talented actress.
I think she's handled herself very gracefully through everything
she's had to experience in the last what, six or seven years?
And it was great."
Gellar (Daphne)
co-stars in Scooby-Doo 2 with her real-life husband, Freddie
Prinze Jr. (Fred)one of the reasons for Gellar's frame
of mind, Green said. "Freddie's such a phenomenal influence
and such a f--king wonderful guy," he said. "I just
love that guy so much. So yeah, that was the big difference that
I noticed. But that's not due to the end of Buffy as much as
I think it's just due to her kind of getting comfortable as a
person."
